Mykah Collier-Fisher of Lake George Named to CDSWOY Class of 2026

ALBANY, NY – Mykah Collier-Fisher, a senior at Lake George High School, has been named as one of the 10 scholastic award recipients for 2026 by the Capital District Sports Women of the Year organization.

Mykah, who competes in soccer, basketball and track & field, will be recognized at the Capital District Sports Women of the Year Awards Gala on Monday, August 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the GE Theatre at Proctors in Schenectady. Tickets will be available online at Proctors.org soon.

The Capital District Sports Women of the Year organization (CDSWOY) honors the best and brightest female student athletes from high schools and colleges in the Capital District of New York State. The student-athletes will be recognized for their achievements in academics, athletics, and community service. More information is provided at the website: cdswoy.com.

Academically, Mykah ranked sixth in her class with a 95.76 GPA and earned an Advanced Regents Diploma. She was on the Principal’s List from 7th grade through 12th grade and was selected to the Senior National Honor Society. She was in the National Honor Society in her junior year.

Athletically, Mykah was captain for both soccer and basketball in 11th and 12th grades and including track & field, a three-sport captain in 12th grade. In soccer, she was a first team All-Star selection in Section 2 in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. Mykah was a first team All-State selection for Class C in her senior year. She was a first team All-League basketball selection and received Honorable Mention All-State honors this past season. Mykah and received scholar-athlete honors in her senior year. Mykah was the league’s top female sprinter in her junior year.

Mykah’s community service includes serving as a volunteer junior firefighter and working with the American Red Cross Blood Drive. She was a volleyball state tournament helper and made bird houses for the community garden. She also joined others with snowman painting for FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and served as a Morgan’s Message Ambassador.

Mykah becomes the third Lake George High School student-athlete selected by CDSWOY. She joins Rachel Hunsicker (Inaugural Year, 2020), and Kayla Grant (2023). A total of 10 high school and three college female student-athletes will be honored at the August 3 event. The next recipient will be announced on June 22.
