The Capital District Sports Women of the Year (CDSWOY) Awards Gala is an annual event scheduled in early August at the GE Theater at Proctors in Schenectady, NY. Recipients are announced individually from mid-June to late-July on CDSWOY.COM. A total of 13 individuals (10 scholastic, three collegiate) are honored at the Awards Gala. The Grand Collegiate Woman of the Year and the Grand Scholastic Woman of the Year are announced at the Awards Gala. As of 2024, CDSWOY has recognized 64 outstanding female student-athletes from the Capital District.
